Trump tells rich friends his tax plan will make them richer

Remember that Republican Tax Scam bill they passed and that Trump recently signed into law? The one they said was all about cutting taxes for everyone, especially the middle class, and that Trump promised would be bad for him and that his rich friends would all be calling him to complain because they wouldn’t benefit from the cuts?

That’s what he was saying publicly in November. Now that the bill’s gone through, I wonder what he’s telling his buddies behind closed doors …

President Trump kicked off his holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago Friday night at a dinner where he told friends, "You all just got a lot richer," referencing the sweeping tax overhaul he signed into law hours earlier. Mr. Trump directed those comments to friends dining nearby at the exclusive club -- including to two friends at a table near the president's who described the remark to CBS News -- as he began his final days of his first year in office in what has become known as the "Winter White House."

Wait, you mean the lifelong avaricious businessman who lies about absolutely everything also lied to the public about his plan to further enrich his already obscenely wealthy pals? And he’s such a moron that he immediately bragged about it in a place where it was guaranteed word would leak to the press? Yeah, that’s the sitting US President all right.
