I suppose I should mention this, but there will be no puppycide post this week – my news sources have gone quiet this week.
Of course, this can only mean that police have now stopped shooting household pets, and not that they’re presumably still putting bullets in dogs leashed in their own yards and occasionally wounding and/or killing bystanders (or themselves) and we just aren’t hearing about it because it’s the holidays. I’m sure it’ll stay all clear on the puppycide front well into 2018, too.
Whilst I’m at it, I’m sure cops will never shoot an innocent animal again, and they’ll even stop gunning down unarmed Black men and teenagers … wait, I can hear you laughing. Went too far, didn’t I?
