
Here’s a roundup of recent headlines involving police shootings of pets and other animals:
Attempted | Tarpon Springs, FL (undated): Family’s chocolate lab-Besanji mix escapes his yard and goes to the local park. Bystander calls police about a “loose pit bull”. Cop responds, claims dog becomes “aggressive” and shoots it. The dog survives. Family claims dog has no history of aggression, but the police chief stands by the shooter.
