Daily Links: 10/26/17 – Anti-Trump Republicans still support his agenda, vote to make it harder to sue banks

• Republican Senators Bob Corker, Jeff Flake ^[pictured] and John McCain make pretty speeches against Trump, then turn around and vote for his proposals, such as the repeal of a major consumer protection that allowed customers to sue misbehaving banks.

• Ghastly story out of the NYPD: Two narcotics officers raped an 18-year-old woman in their custody, then claimed it was consensual, and are now pointing to her Instagram selfies and an angry exchange with a doubter to try and discredit her. The rapists still have their jobs.

• I am shocked – shocked – to hear that the US Government is still abusing its surveillance procedures to spy on its citizens.

• Mississippi youth court judge barred mother from seeing her newborn for 14 months over unpaid court fees. The judge has since resigned.

• The FBI is still complaining about not being able to read data from thousands of encrypted phones and wants to weaken encryption for all.

• Finally, who said Satan was bad for kids?
