• Dayton, OH (09/10/17): “You killed my [expletive] dog”: Officer investigating a theft allegedly gets charged by a loose “pit bull”, shoots & kills it, then arrests its owner after he yells at the cop and punches his cruiser.

• Kansas City, MO (09/11/17): Police shoot & kill a dog whilst arresting its owner during a drug search. Boilerplate police statement claims his two dogs “charged” and bit them; owner says they’re lying.

• Las Cruces, NM (19/12/17): Police statement claims officer returning to an arrested suspect’s home to deposit personal belongings gets attacked by a “pit bull terrier” that escaped its fenced area, allegedly injuring the officer, who fires “at least one” round to kill the dog.
