Introducing Creativitas: My music/story/art blog is live

For the past few weeks I’ve spent most of my non-blogging hours setting up another blog, this one for all my creative works that wouldn’t really fit on a political blog. I’ve just uploaded the last of my artwork, which means I can make it official:

What’s it got?

Music! I compose orchestral, film-score-style music as a hobby that I hope one day may lead to something more. Also, a couple alternative rock songs.

Stories! I love writing as much as I do composing, though most of that is devoted to revising my eternally unfinished novel, Inhuman. For now, the blog also hosts my first ever completed and published-online story, Dark Horizons, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi/thriller short I wrote when I was around 16.

Artwork! Drawing was my first and longest-enduring passion in life, and though it’s since been replaced with computers and music and writing, I still pick up a pencil (or a graphics tablet stylus) when the mood strikes.

I also dabble in other media, such as 3D modeling (SketchUp is love, SketchUp is life), though I haven’t made anything else worth posting yet.

Please keep in mind there isn’t anything recent on there yet – I’ve been inactive in more than just blogging for the last four years. I have been practicing, however, which means that the music, writing and art on display there really aren’t up to my current standards. I plan to start by updating my existing songs with fresh and new instrument sounds and fixing various compositional issues, though that will be slow and steady going.

For anyone not interested in my artistry, I’ll keep both blogs mostly segregated except for the occasional update post here on Preliator (weekly at most, depending on how much I publish or update on Creativitas).
